Live with intention.
Niyyah is a calm Muslim companion. It gently locks your most distracting apps during prayer, then opens them again once you've prayed.
Your apps rest while you pray.
Choose the apps that pull your attention away. Niyyah locks them as a prayer window opens and lifts the lock the moment you confirm you've prayed.
- Per-prayer settings, including Jumu'ah overrides.
- A five-minute buffer before each prayer, so the lock is already in place.
- Instant release. Verifying the prayer ends that lock at once, with no waiting for a countdown.
- Pause and emergency override for travel, illness or real need. The override is deliberate and rate-limited, so the lock never traps you.
App names are samples. You pick your own.
Confirm it in your own words.
After you pray, you confirm by voice or by typing. Speech recognition is tolerant of reasonable mis-transcriptions, so a small slip never locks you out.
Try it with your real microphone. Your browser asks for permission, then the demo scores what it heard against what you meant. Works best in Chrome or Edge, which send speech to their own recognition service.
Accurate times. A clear direction.
GPS prayer times are cached for offline use. If your masjid publishes its own timings, save them and switch between the two without losing either.
Sample timings. Alarms reschedule when the source changes and survive a reboot.
The gold needle points to the Qibla. Turn until the Kaaba marker sits under the notch. In the app the heading comes from your live sensor, here you drag it. Sample bearing shown.
Made for reading, not scrolling.
Large, quiet type with nothing competing for your eyes. Quran, Hadith and Azkar live beside your prayers, with your bookmarks in one place.
Everything you save, together.
- Quran. Surah and Juz navigation, full-text search, bookmarks and reading progress, with more than one way to read.
- Hadith. Collections and books with search and an editorial, reading-first layout.
- Azkar. Morning, evening and post-prayer remembrances with counters and favorites.
- Collections. Save verses, hadith and azkar to your own collections and search through them.
Demo counter with a sample target.
A month, reflected back to you.
Each month, Niyyah gathers your prayers into a private Monthly Reflection: a rank and score, prayers completed out of 150, completion, your best streak, Fajr days, how many prayers you verified, and which prayers were missed.
It is generated on your device and never becomes part of cloud sync.
Try the arithmetic. Tap a day to change how many prayers it holds.
A streak counts consecutive days with all five prayers. Rank and score are computed in the app.
Local first. Account optional.
Worship is private. Niyyah works fully without an account and keeps your prayer records mainly on your phone.
A worship app that gives attention back.
Muslims pray five times a day, and phones compete for every one of those moments. Prayer-time apps tell you when. Screen-time blockers know nothing about prayer. Niyyah connects the two and wraps them in a daily companion.
Muslims worldwide, roughly a quarter of the global population (Pew Research estimate, 2020).
Prayer windows every day, each a natural, recurring reason to open the app.
Analytics SDKs intentionally used. Privacy is part of the product.
